This product is a film coated tablet, which appears white to off white after removing the coating.
Pharmacodynamic. Sex hormones. The effect of Altrenogest is similar to that of natural progesterone. During administration, it can inhibit the secretion of gonadotrophin by the pituitary gland, prevent follicular development and estrus. After administration, the pituitary gland resumes secretion of gonadotrophin, promoting follicular development and estrus. When the medication is stopped, the degree of follicular development is consistent, and the secretion of gonadotrophin is restored synchronously, which promotes all animals to estrus synchronously 5-8 days after the medication is stopped.
Pharmacokinetics. This product is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching its peak blood concentration 1 hour after the first administration and approximately 4 hours after the 18th administration. Altrenogest is mainly metabolized by the liver and excreted through bile, with a half-life of about 14 hours.
Used to control estrus synchronization in gilt.
It is measured by Altrenogest. Place it directly in the feeding tank or add it to the feed for oral administration. One dose, 20 mg (1 tablet) per gilt daily for 18 days.
（1）Only used for sexually mature sows that have been in heat at least once.
（2）Each animal is administered separately to ensure a daily dose.
（3）Use with caution in sows with acute or subacute chronic endometritis.
（4）Wear protective clothing and gloves during operation, and wash hands after operation and before dining.
（5）Pregnant and childbearing women should avoid contact with this product and be very careful when handling it. Accidental ingestion may lead to menstrual disorders or prolonged pregnancy.
Insufficient dosage may lead to follicular cysts.
