Characteristics

Clear colorless to light yellow oily solution.

Pharmacological Action

On the basis of estrogen, progesterone can promote the development of endometrium and glands, inhibit uterine muscle contraction, weaken the response of uterine muscles to oxytocin, and play a "miscarriage prevention" role; Inhibiting the secretion of anterior pituitary gonadotrophin through feedback mechanism, suppressing estrus and ovulation. In addition, it works together with estrogen to stimulate the development of mammary gland acini and prepare for lactation.

Indications

Sex hormone. Used to prevent miscarriage.

Dosage and Administration

Intramuscular injection: one dose, 50~100 mg for horses and cattle; 15~25 mg for sheep and pigs; 2~5 mg for dogs.

Precautions

(1)Livestock that produce milk for human consumption shall not use this product during lactation.

(2)Long-term use may prolong the pregnancy.

Adverse Reactions

According to the prescribed usage and dosage, no adverse reactions have been observed.
